is Butch the type of coach that is good at rebuilding programs just enough to make them somewhat relevant but not strong enough to push them over the edge in a tough conference?
Gottfried was a good hoops coach at Murray St. but never could quite push Bama to be a consistent winner in SEC and seems to be doing the same thing at NC State despite some good recruiting.
Neither Gottfried nor Butch is particularly well known for their X and O skills but instead seem to be decent in many areas but not speciai in any.
Are we ok with someone that is above average but not elite?
