I have a very good friend who played at Ole Miss. Was there with Cutcliffe and finished with Houston Nutt. Recruited and signed by coach Cut and obviously he was later fired. He shared this story again with me this past summer when our families were together for a week.

Players got a message to report to the team room but they did not know who was being named as coach. Had heard various rumors, but were unsure. They were all sitting in the room when in walked coach O wearing a off white linen suit. He was whooping and hollering and told the team he was going to make them into winners and they would be a team that "kicked everyones ---." He then looked at them all and said, "I am going to go out that door and when I come back everyone one of mf'ers better have your shirts off and show me you are ready to win at Ole Miss." My buddy said they just stared at each other saying is this guy serious. He started walking to the door unbuttoning his shirt. So after he left they stood up and took their shirts off. Coach O then through the door open and came back in the team room with no shirt on yelling. He said it was not enough and went back out and did it again.

My buddy said he was pure crazy train and not much of a joy to play under. Later Houston Nutt was hired and my guy said his last year at Ole Miss was the best year he every had playing football as Nutt was a great coach and fun to play for.

I am sure it is interesting at LSU right now. The Rajin Cajun is now a bit farther south.
