Bama lined up every play and tee'd off on the backs and QB. Why? Predictability. When you are losing at the LOS, biggest advantage you have is that the D is trying to react and respond to what the O is doing.

So what do you do? Well, you don't run an inside zone handoff right into the teeth of the defense with an inferior line.

You use jet sweeps, misdirections, screens (I'm aware that the one didn't work), etc. to cause the D to have to read and think longer. This buys your skill players time to get in space.

When you ran inside handoff on first and second down, put yourself in 3rd and long, defensive front pins their ears back... you're done.

I am, by no stretch, saying Tennessee would've won Saturday. I am saying, however, that UT had no chance to be competitive from the start. Defense played hard first half, but were taken out of the game because of lack of offense and being on field too much.
