At Freed Hardeman university in Henderson, TN. He hit on quite a few things, but I thought I'd share a few. Really excited about Bristol, but has no idea how they're going to make it work, but confident they will. Szersen taking over and they went different ways with Lawson for exactly the reasons Brent gave us. He said because college is now more of a spread game and sideline to sideline there are more shoulder injuries, labrums in particular, they had to go in a different direction. When asked,"where do we get tickets to Atlanta," he said that the high expectations are for team 119 and that 120 is different but the leadership is the best he's seen on a team. He shared a great story about how they started over after the Arkansas loss and won 6 straight. Even took a new team picture. Said there are over 70, iirc, universities coming to check out Tennesse and the facilities and the way they're doing things because they're interested in our turnaround. Lots of stories and other points I might remember later, but the best was his explanation of this generation of kids through parenting and coaching. He said it's harder to reach kids in a selfie generation but that there are two kinds of parents; the parent that prepares the child for the path and the parent that prepares the path for the child. if anyone has a chance to hear him speak, do it. I drove 2 hrs to hear him after working all day and I'd do it again. Peyton will be coming to FHU in December and I'll be back then.
