...and by dream, maybe I should call it a nightmare. The Vols were locked in a close game against the Alabama Crimson Tide under the lights in Neyland Stadium. But as I looked across the sideline, Nick Saban was no where to be found. Instead, Coach Urban Meyer was coaching the Tide. Late in the 4th quarter, Aaron Medley had a 35 yard field goal to win the game for the Big Orange. It seemed like victory was all but certain. But once again, the certainty of victory turned into the agony of defeat. A late substitution along the offensive line saw former Vol great Mack Crowder inserted into the game at center. The rogue Crowder snapped the ball high and wide, preventing Medley from ever getting a kick off. As he walked off the field Crowder flipped off the crowd, and proclaimed he had done it on purpose.
Not sure what it means, but thought I would share.
Cheers!!
