could climb a 15' wooden piling. Yesterday my wife and I were outside working on some shrubbery. Living here at the beach, all houses are on pilings so a bird had built a little nest on the top of one. My wife looked up and screamed(loudly), I ran over and here was this snake gobbling up the little eggs. I grabbed a hose to try and dislodge him because he was fairly close to one of the French doors that open on to the back deck. When that didn't work, I took a mop(used to clean high windows) that extended. As I was getting ready to poke the thing, I had a thought. You don't know what kind of snake this is and there is a good chance he will land squarely on my head. I called our pest control company and they sent someone out immediately. Live and learn.
