I have never used the ignore feature. I generally just don't click on certain posters that mostly use hyperbole. I didn't know if you put them on ignore it makes them "disappear". Previously you could still see that they posted. Personally I like a balanced view so I won't use it very much but I have to say there are a couple of posters I have not missed since using this feature.
