who say this program can never be back among the elite in college football. That's just totally and fundamentally untrue.
The evidence that it can be is the undisputed fact that it has been done here before. It simply takes a commitment from the university to be elite and the right coach.
All the typical talking points (not a fertile recruiting area, other elite programs in the conference and region, etc.) for the reasons we can't get back to that level are just garbage excuses.
This program has the resources and fan support to rival any program in the country. And even under garbage coaches like Derek Dooley and Butch Jones, the recruiting has been good enough. We just haven't had the coach that could develop players and know how to run the program the right way to get the job done.
