Inconsistency is one of the problems. It starts with Dobbs. He's very inconsistent with his passing and zone reads. It's not like he's bad ALL the time. At times, it he looks great and it all clicks. Then he rushes his throws....or waits too long on throws. At times he makes the correct reads and the running game looks great. At other times it's like he doesn't make a correct read for several plays in a row.
Same with DeBord. At times it looks as if he has a handle on the flow of the game and dials up the right answers. But at other times he just doesn't seem to be able to exploit the opponents' weaknesses as we see other OC's do. But the OL's inconsistency and Dobb's inconsistency has to play into his calls.
And the OL. At times it's, at least, very adequate. But other times it looks like high school players playing against the pros. I'm guessing this plays into DeBord's play calling and Dobbs' rushing things at times. They never know what they are going to get.
It's all related. It's not JUST Dobbs. Or not JUST DeBord. Everything has to mesh and be consistent. This is FAR from that.
