I seriously don't know the answer to this and it is killing me. I bet 90% of the people on this board were thrilled when Shooop was hired. Now it sounds like those same people are claiming the man is an idiot but I have not heard of a coach losing all of his coaching ability in just one off season. So why has the defense been so bad this year? Was Shoop not the brain trust so many people thought he was? I remember a ton of people were saying before the season started that Shoop would only be at UT for 1 season before he would be offered his own HC position. Now how many of you are betting on that? Were the asst coaches not teaching the overall system correctly or did UT not have the right players or is there some other reason for this horrible failure?
I really want to see the Volquest staff dig to get to the bottom of the whole problem. I certainly hope that CBJ does exactly that because other wise this team and coach has zero future.
