Butch put the brakes on expecting much from Justin Martin early on last night and Jancek went even further today in slowing early season expectations down.
Butch (not surprisingly) didn't go in depth on how close to full speed Martin has been in his return. Jancek was a little less reserved in his assessment, saying that Martin had done very little this week in terms of live action and was still working his way back towards being full speed. Jancek also stressed that without the live reps, for someone coming into the defense, learning the playbook and your role was a tough, tough chore.
