These kids we pulled in 24-28, some will be gone in year one or 2, some could stay and become contributors in their year 3,4 or 5. We need to replace the difference makers that graduate or move on to the NFL each year, and hope to gain just a little more each time. Look at Malone, 5*, was he a difference maker? Of course, but mostly in year 3. He struggled mightily in his first 2 seasons. Look at Hand, at Alabama, difference maker? Maybe, but not in his first 3 years. Hurd? Difference maker? Sure, especially in perception, but what did he leave behind. Kelly may be the one we remember. I can not remember the name the 5* who left Bama and came to UT and laid it ALL on the line for Tennessee, everyday, hurt, butthurt or whatever, he gave his all for Tennessee, he will always be special to me.
