LSU coach Brian Kelly met with the media Monday to preview Saturday's game between LSU and Tennessee. Here are some key notes from Kelly's availability:

– Kelly called Tennessee "an outstanding football team" and said coach Josh Heupel has "done a great job in a very short period of time." Kelly mentioned that Heupel has "put his stamp" on his team and said it's a fast-paced team. "They're the fastest team in college football," Kelly said.

– Kelly on Vols' quarterback Hendon Hooker: "He is talented. He's big, he's physical, he can throw the football. He runs it. ... And, he's got playmakers."

– Kelly spoke highly of Tennessee's wide receivers – mentioning Jalin Hyatt, Bru McCoy, Cedric Tillman. "They are talented at the wide receiver position," Kelly said.

– Kelly on the Vols' defense: "You've got athletes all over the place. They play 12 players on their defense, so they're rolling guys in and out."

– Kelly thinks that Tennessee is deserving of its No. 8 ranking in the AP Top 25 poll, saying "they've earned it."

– Kelly on the matchup: "A great challenge for our group – one that we're looking forward to."
