I know I've said this in many threads (vff style) but as you watch college football, it's insane how much the good offensive teams utilize the middle of the field and put their athletes in space.
And on the flip side, we played against offense the last two weeks in which the QB can not throw a ball outside the numbers. Two things about that:
1- Their offensive coordinators realize that's not an easy throw and don't ask their QBs to make that throw like ours does 90% of the time
2- It's astounding to me that we don't force their receivers to the outside. Give them an easy pitch and catch to the outside...because they won't do it. Their QBs wouldn't even look outside the numbers
So a recap, the middle of the field is why we suck again.
