Nobody thought much about UGA early in the year. They had a rough first year in Kirby’s first year. But their magic formula was to run the ball and utilize that offensive line and solid RB’s. Quite honestly, it was a very good coaching job. They didn’t do anything to beat themselves and just wore teams down.
I think this team is built the same way. We have confidence but still need to beat a top team or two in order to really believe. We’re going to win with our o-line, not giving up big plays on defense and just wearing out our opponents.
I don’t know that we’ll do that against UGA but my bet is that it’s a one possession game very late. I know UGA has more talent. I’m still not buying a guy named Stetson Bennett IV in which UGA brought in 2 transfers and he was an afterthought. Just do the things we’re coached to do and it will be a 4th quarter game.
