So my 17 year old comes in the other day and wants me to hear the new style of music called funk and wants to know had I heard the new BM song. I tell him I had heard it, liked it well enough, but that funk music had been around since the late 60's to early 70's. Told hm furthermore that UF was funk-lite, and made him sit down and listen to some of the early stuff.
Played him some Clinton and Parliment with some concert video and the kid left with the jaw dropped. Kinda fun when they realize wear not quite as out of touch as they think.
