I'm looking into a vacation trip to Hawaii for this next summer with my wife. I was looking for suggestions on which island to stay on and any recommendations on hotels, etc. My wife is taking a cancer medication which limits the time we can spend on beaches (at least comfortably, but we do want some beach time), so we are focused more on sightseeing, hikes, etc. We definitely want to do Pearl Harbor. Any recommendations on places? We are looking at 4-star types of hotels (don't want to invest a ton of money into a room that we hopefully won't be in for long periods of time).
