Questions on sports betting. You know, that simulation I was running...

is 4 - 0 on picking winners (I haven't run it on anything but UT games). I stopped posting it because it wasn't accurate against the spread. It's at 2 - 2 now. But I would likely need a much larger sample to get a feel for how good/bad it really is. Anyone should be able to get near 50 percent, I would think. But that got me to wondering. What actually would be an acceptable batting percentage? I don't gamble, so I don't really know, but I'm guessing that anything that would, overall, win you money would be good. What's the house take on sports betting? If this thing gets more accurate as the season goes on (and this season has been weird anyway), it could actually turn out okay.

I'm just curious. I don't think I'll ever actually use it for gambling. I used to play poker online, but gave it up when they changed the laws there for awhile and said they were going to freeze my account, and I haven't gambled a penny since. The only reason I was downloading the gambling stuff at all is because this is actually a strategy game (think Madden where you don't control players), and they were the only people who had updated rosters/stats.

Game is darn hard, by the way. At least it is if you are playing as Tennessee.
