It is amazing that we don’t see or read information like the following: 1) UT was 2nd in the conference in completion %, behind Alabama; 2) UT was 2nd in the conference in yards per attempt, behind only Arkansas; 3) UT led the league in passing touchdowns, and 4) UT had the 2nd highest passer rating in the conference, only .3 behind Alabama. Many have the perception (partly because we don’t have anyone smart enough in the media to write about the real facts, they get too caught up in creating drama to boost their readership), that we don't throw it well enough for a highly rated QB or wide receiver to come to UT, that because UT doesn’t have a QB coach, we can’t throw the ball, and of course the fallacy that Dobbs can’t throw a deep ball. Those passing stats are pretty darn good.
