I just want to share some things that I've learned that may help others as more of us come in contact with this virus. A few quick notes that may help others not to be overly concerned because they are in the dark.

  • It is apparently not uncommon for this virus to last 3 to 4 weeks possibly more
  • The majority of hospitalization occur in week 3
  • Symptoms will ebb and flow as you may feel great one day and have minor symptoms return the next
  • Drink lots of water and healthy fluids (it really does help)
  • Eat well (as in fresh leafy green vegetables and foods with antioxidants)
  • REST, REST, REST (all of my "I feel nearly" normal days have come after much sleep)
  • If you have had symptoms and then feel fine and have testing available to you (especially if you are quarantining away from loved ones) go get a test before going back around your people (apparently there is belief among the scientific community that symptoms can subside and you can still be infectious.

I'm not claiming any level of medical or scientific expertise here and any of the doctors on the board who have contrary information please lean in but I know that had I known some of the information I've learned as I have been symptomatic it would have calmed my nerves a bit especially it lasting so long. I hope this helps some folks at least to some degree.
