But you simply can't botch an easy decision to kick the FG when down 11 with 1:45 to go in the game. YOU HAVE TO KICK THE FG! That, in itself, is the biggest indictment. Everything else can be explained away. The injuries that have affected the defense. The turnovers. But you can't jack up a simple game decision in the 4th quarter. We most likely lose the game regardless there. But you have to give your team a chance to win.
