IF....some people in the athletic department/school really would want to let Butch Jones go soon...how would/could that happen?
You wouldn't want Hart firing him because you wouldn't want Hart involved with hiring a new coach.
Technically I guess Butch works for whoever is Hart's boss, which I think is the new Chancellor (who isn't officially installed yet). She could do it once installed.
Could the Board of Trustees do it?...But then who actually heads up a new coaching search? Would any coach want to come here and not know who his future boss is going to be?
IMO...right now...nothing could be done even if you wanted it done.
So, earliest would be when we have a new Athletic Director. But would he be in a position to tackle this HUGE issue from day 1?
