I think a lot of it has to do with the uphill climb we've had for so many years - then once we started to get some press a lot of players, fans alike, and heck maybe even some coaches - started thinking we've arrived. Now the script has been flipped. We are the hunted. If you play teams like App State and don't have your own motor primed, and play up to your potential - then you will get teams that are hungry, determined, scrappy and playing out of their minds that WILL beat you.
It is quite possible also that App State is a very good team, and gave us a run for our money.
Their lines played exceptionally well. Their offensive line played great for the first half... Their defensive line played well most of the night.
