you have to step back and ruminate. One week after the latest disappointment, I am still numb. Whether Jones stays or leaves makes no difference to me. I for one think that until the last few weeks, he did as good a job as we could expect with what he had. That being said, to me, he has lost the one thing he had going for him. That was the idea that the program was on the upswing and if you were looking for playing time in a championship caliber program...this was the place. Clearly that is not the case now and his chances of succeeding here are waning.

We don't have the athletes or the athleticism to compete with any of the top five teams and most of the next five teams even if we were totally healthy. Tennessee football to me is like trying to spread a blanket in a high wind. You get one end down and before you can anchor the other ends, the one you thought was stabilized has blown back up. Is this coaching or program "rebuilding"? I really don't know and most of you don't either, you just think you do.
