SGT Joey Hunt and SSGT Victor Lieurance. KIA 22 August 2005. I didn’t serve with these men but served with many men that did. I later ran the same routes they ran.
I will also be remembering SSGT Andy Newman he was one of my best friends, truck Sgt, and overall great guy. He deployed 3 times. First time during the invasion and was involved in many many battles. Second time he was deployed he was in the same truck as the 2 above and survived that blow. 3rd time was with us. After coming home he succumbed to the demons he fought here. It was to much to bare. We need to remember those that battle daily. I battle to but hope to never succumb to those things. If you know someone battling check on them make sure there alright.
