Who misses football?
So, with that, are the three things/players/story lines everyone is looking forward to?
1. RB tandem - From a pure talent standpoint, there hasn't been a running back tandem as good as Hurd and Kamara on campus in my six seasons covering the team. Even though they will probably be limited in the amount of contact they take because of the few running backs on the roster, it will certainly be fun to watch them throughout the 15 practices.
2. What does the offensive line look like? - Obviously, there were a number of guys playing out of position last year, but now Tennessee has an opportunity to put some nice pieces together if everyone has taken the right steps. Has Dontavious Blair done enough to really work himself into a position to earn playing time? Can Jack Jones help early on? Can Coleman Thomas push someone on the interior of the line? There are just a lot of questions, and a lot more bodies, this year so it should be fun to watch.
3. Does anyone emerge on the defensive line? If you are a defensive lineman and healthy this spring you are going to see a lot of reps. I am really intrigued to see Dimarya Mixon, Shy Tuttle and LaTroy Lewis. All should have plenty of opportunities. I don't know if Mixon will be able to stay at defensive end full-time because of the shortage at tackle, but if he does I really think he has a chance to turn some heads.
