Coach Matthews said that he thought it was "humorous" how some of the Tennessean's recent reports only present accusations from one side and then in passing, state how they "tried to contact" some individual from the other side but they "did not return our calls". He said it is a technique to make it appear that the accused is trying to avoid answering questions because they have something to hide.
He then (rather brilliantly) revealed that he had place numerous calls during the week to have the "young lady" and "young man" writing the stories to come on the air to discuss what they know - or at least to make some statements off of the air- and that neither party "returned any of his calls"..
