I completely understand the desire to make a splash hire but as for someone who has several ties to UTC and is on campus at least once a week I can say without a doubt in my mind that Wade is going to be a star very soon. What he has done these last two years can't really be understood without a solid amount of knowledge regarding the program two years ago. I could go on and on in that regard but I just want to point out a couple of things about coach Wade. His style of play is the future of college basketball and will become the spread offense of the sport. He has an ability to connect with young guys that only the truly great coaches possess. He would bring a Butch type turnaround to the program and while he was mentored by Smart he is much more comparable to Brad Stevens with a little more charisma. There isn't a coach that has been mentioned as a realistic canidate that would do a better job than Will Wade.
