1. On Alexis Johnson: I know nothing is certain, but is there a point on the calendar it becomes highly unlikely he helps this year if he even makes it back on the team? Could he redshirt if, for example, the decision was not to let him back on the team until he finishes his probation?
2. Sticking with Defensive Tackles, please agree/disagree/comment on the following: I expect to see a lot of Kyle Phillips and Kongbo sliding inside on obvious passing downs. McKenzie and Tuttle are two playmaking DTs, though they're young. O'Brien and Vickers provide quality depth. The hope in 2016 is that Picou comes on and can provide additional depth. If all that happens, it's a nice rotation with some limited ability to withstand injuries. Unless McKenzie or Tuttle went down with something long term which would lead to a huge drop off in playmaking ability.
3. Now on to DT recruiting: Is the need four DTs in this class? How badly do you think this staff wants a JUCO DT? Would they take two? Depth is not what you want it to be now, and with signing no Freshmen DTs in 2016, things look a little meager in a couple years, especially if McKenzie and Tuttle go to the NFL after 2017.
4. With the recent WR attrition, any impact on the number of WRs in the 2016 class? With Nixon having the weekend he had, even if Fant commits in the next month you keep your WR board fairly large right? It's going to be a dogfight to keep Nixon, and while things look promising with Higgins that's by no means a given.
5. Maybe this is just my perception, but our CB board seems rather small given that Sutton and Foreman are seniors, and Martin, Moseley and DJ Henderson are juniors. Any comment?
6. Could Jason Croom seek a 6th year of eligibility next year?
BONUS: Why is Rivals so stingy on ranking kickers? The Cimaglia commitment got me curious, and I looked up kicker rankings. The top placekicker list for 2017 has one person on it, and the best guy in the country is a 3 star (5.5). I think Medley was a Top 5 kicker, and was also a 3 star (5.5). Should kickers be ranked higher or should there be a separate ranking for kickers?
