Hurd and Kamara were electric catching the ball out of the backfield. Both routinely and consistently made big plays.
Everyone wants to remember Hurd running someone over for 3 yards on the zone read but the guy really was excellent at making people miss in space off a reception. If you disagree watch the videos. The play he received the most grief over as a Vol was an excellently run wheel route.
3:10 in the 3rd Video is my favorite play of his as a Vol.
Did we see Kelly do much of this last year? Any read on his hands and route running ability @Rob Lewis @Brent_Hubbs @Jesse_Simonton @Austin_Price
I definitely can't see anyone coming close to Kamara's ability as a receiver in the foreseeable future. He may honestly be the best we see for a long time coming out of the backfield.
If the line struggles we need that safety valve.
