The grey team led by Max Ferguson, Liam Spence, Luc Lipcius, Jordan Beck, Elijah Pleasants swept the orange team led by Jake Rucker, Pete Derkay, Evan Russell, Luc Lipcius and Camden Sewell.

The grey team jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first and held on for a 7-2 win after the orange team cut the deficit to one in the sixth inning. Beck and Russell both went deep on the afternoon. Second year freshman Will Mabrey looked really good out of the bullpen for the the grey team turning in three strong innings. I think this team could really have five solid left handed arms out of the bullpen in Drew Gilbert, Mabrey, freshman Jake Fitzgibbons and veterans Redmond Walsh and Will Heflin.

Speaking of Heflin, he struggled giving up four earned runs in just under two innings of work. Heflin threw strikes but was hit around pretty good by Jorel Ortega, Pete Derkay and Christian Scott. The freshman Ortega has impressed this fall and should provide solid infield depth behind Liam Spence and Max Ferguson in the middle.

Luc Lipcius also had two hits on the day.
