There's plenty to get through but the big storylines for me in initial reading...
No allegation of lack of institutional control.
There's praise for the University in how they handled things with the NCAA, keeping them in the loop, the length they went to in the investigation at their own expense, the corrective measures taken, they fact that they uncovered more and handled it as well.
Those two things should help put this thing from the school perspective to rest.
I would expect punishment from the NCAA for Pruitt, Neidermeyer, as well as recruiting staff members. It would think show causes are expected for Pruitt, who's wife was involved in paying parents and others, Neidermeyer and Felton.
Both Neidermeyer and Felton were noted in the NOA for providing false information in interviews with school in Jan. 2021.
You have 18 major infractions. You have 12 staff members involved and over 200 individual violations.
Violations in COVID period won't help those individuals either.
Tennessee has 90 days to respond and can request and accelerated hearing date if they want.
Keep in mind that Tennessee did self impose 12 scholarship reductions last year. Heupel said they won't be at 85 this fall which could mean that they are going to self impose a few more.
