Very impressive guy. Not hard to believe that he's an Air Force Academy grad and a guy with a military background.
He shared that that background in the military influences everything he does but added that he's not trying to turn players into soldiers, but made a point that in things like discipline, accountability, being prepared, etc. his military background has an influence on.
Warren also made sure to mention as someone who grew up in Georgia he's got a healthy respect for Tennessee's tradition and also Tennessee's tradition of poaching top talent out of Georgia. He seemed excited about the idea of going back to a place where he has a lot of ties to now try and recruit kids to Knoxville.
Thought it was interesting that he said of his time at Air Force, that working with those kind of kids who have so much on their plate outside of football and who also are generally not the same kind of athlete as many schools they're competing against, he felt like that made him a better coach. Coming from that background he was accustomed with the burden of needing to 'do more with less.'
Will have a write up from the interview shortly, but impressive guy who makes a strong first impression. He's going to be someone that appeals to the parents of recruits IMO.
