Was it a 50 point blow out? No! Did Melton become a front runner for the Heisman Trophy? No! Did our defense get 4 turnovers and leave dead bodies all over the field? No!
but did they win? YES! Did we win convincingly? YES! Was it a tight game at the end? No! Did Melton throw any pick sixes like has happens in the past? No! Did we lose our home opener to a team we are expected to beat by three touchdowns like we did last year? HELL NO!
I agree it didn’t look like Bama, or Clemson and I agree they have a lot to fix and improve on but it didn’t look like the same team or program that walked out there last year. We saw definite improvements and that’s all any of us can ask for right now. Take and improve every day and every week and we will eventually get back to what Tennessee football is supposed to be.
