In 1997, the Vols were dominated physically by a Nebraska team that was just bigger, stronger, and tougher. They were not fancy, just ran the ball and stopped the run. Phil Fulmer swore that he'd get the Vols into that place. He did, and for several years the Vols were a very successful team using the same formula. Then somehow we got away from that (or I think, others got better at it than us - my opinion).
