"I would like to thank God for everything that has happened to me the last few years," Higgins first told VolQuest.com. "I'm blessed to have this opportunity and can't wait to get over to Tennessee and do great things."
"My mom and I have been talking and it's going to be hard for her to move to another place," Higgins said. "I thought why go somewhere else when I can stay and home and play in Knoxville."
Tennessee head coach Butch Jones continues to wow everyone on the recruiting trail and Higgins is a firm believer in the top Vol.
"That man is great," Higgins said. "He's a great man and great coach. I can't wait to play for him. They use their wide receivers in different places. They get them the ball and they know how to put them in position to be successful.
And the phone all that Higgins placed on Monday in the early evening was one he'll never forget.
"He said I had his whole body numb," Higgins said. "He said I made his whole week. He was super excited when I committed. I'm so glad to have this behind me."
