Caught up with 4-star running back Jashaun Corbin, who visited earlier this week. It was his third trip on Rocky Top, and sounds like Tennessee really rolled out the orange carpet for him.
"The visit was amazing. I really loved it up at Tennessee. When we first got there, I was greeted by eight or nine people. They really went all out on this trip. I really loved it up there.”
He spent time touring the Ray and Lucy Hand digital studio, a chip in UT's recruitment, as Corbin wants to be a broadcaster. He also had some good chats with Jauan Jennings and former UT back Alvin Kamara.
The Vols are selling him on the AK role, and Corbin said their skill-set is "very similar."
"They want to use me the exact same was as they use Alvin Kamara, but more. My skill-set is very similar to his, catching, returning punts and running the ball. Doing many things to help the offense be successful."
Corbin has visited South Carolina, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Auburn, Georgia Tech and Tennessee in just the last week. He hopes to start narrowing down his list here soon, but said no matter what, the Vols remain one of his top options.
"Tennessee will always be one of my top schools, without a doubt."
Will have full story in the a.m.
