Hello, all.
I'm glad that folks are sharing the comedic flicks that they like in response to the daily posts I'm making in this quasi "series." Some of you are going to be a bit disappointed that your favorite didn't make the cut, I s'pose, but... well, there are only thirty days in April.
*Cue "Thirty Days In The Hole" song... oh, so apropos these days.*
Anyway, apologies to those of you whose favorite film didn't make my list... but, here's hoping that the films I mention [or that are mentioned in reply] are sufficient to make you laugh; it's the best medicine, so I hear.
Anyway, as free time is spare these days, it's off to today's film recommendation, which is:
KINGPIN
From IMDb, the plot is about "A star bowler whose career was prematurely "cut off" hopes to ride a new prodigy to success and riches."
I have no doubt that this particular ribald romp from the Farrelly Brothers is further down some of your lists than, say, THERE'S SOMETHING ABOUT MARY; but, while TSAM broke the ground for the more salacious comedies that followed - yes, including this one - I didn't find it quite as funny. I wouldn't say it's the Ben Stiller effect, because I enjoyed his turn in another comedic flick that I'm going to put in another series about the "best movies you missed." For whatever reason, then, this one makes the cut... and I'm not covering any new ground with this one for many of you - I'm looking at you, @Brother Hezekiah [y'know, based on your avatar and all] - but in case I am, I think that you'll enjoy it a lot.
Provided you can indulge in cinematic moral turpitude, that is! If you're wondering that I mean, just check out the trailer below:
Enjoy! And... well, if you feel like taking a shower afterwards, then we'll just say you're practicing good hygiene.
