My 16 year old which I have shared about on here before and is my avatar. This week shot a 76 during high school tryouts and I couldn't be prouder.
For those that don't know his story. He was in a terrible lawnmower accident when he was 4. At my mom's house he slipped out on her and went in the yard as my dad was mowing. Filling a Tonka truck up with grass behind my dad as he mowed.
Not knowing he was there , dad backed up and ran over him nearly completely severing his left leg. After 11 years of surgeries and rehab with the leg never going to get any better.
My son in January of 2019 decided on his own to have it amputated through the center of the knee. After another surgery this spring to go back and clean up some of the reconstruction of his leg tissue. He got back on the course in May and this week with his new prosethic shot a 76 walking the whole course and pushing his caddy cart.
