i was just thinking about our depth at running back and those 2 names from the past came to mind. i don't remember the exact years they played but weren't both 3rd string at one time and then excelled when their number was called (due to injury i think). i'll always remember powell's run against miami; they just thought they were fast lol! thompson did a great job after webb and/or cobb got hurt iirc.
